Info for the week of January 2nd
• NO practice Monday night! School is still closed.
• The layout of the new practice schedule is:
o Mon/Wed 6- 7pm new tots
o Mon/Wed 7 – 8:30 returning tots and new bantams (7/8 yr olds)
o Tues/Thurs 6 – 7:30 Regular older practice
o Tues/Thurs 7:30 – 9 Advanced older practice – invitation only. If you have not received an email that you should attend this practice, your practice will end at 7:30 and you will be able to leave at that time as the mats won’t be rolled yet.
• If you have more than one child and are confused by multiple emails, please reply with your questions.
• If you have not paid for your raffle tickets, they need to be paid. Please reply to make arrangements to pay or take care of with Sharon Burr at practice this week.
• If you have not paid for the Intensity tournament, the fee was $25 per wrestler. Please pay Sharon this week.
• This week’s match is at Washington Township Saturday – 8am tots/bantam; 10am midget/jr/int
o MORE INFO THIS WEEK on specific arrival times. PLEASE reply to this email by Tuesday to let me know if you are attending this match or not. We understand people have other obligations but in order to match up the wrestlers properly by age, weight and ability we need an accurate account of who is attending. ALL wrestlers will participate in either the team match or rollaround wrestling. This is an outstanding opportunity for experience for all wrestlers and we encourage everyone to attend.
• Our Beef and Beer Friday Jan 13th – if you are planning to attend, please purchase your tickets this week if possible. We have a fabulous Chinese auction as well as food, drink and dancing. It’s a great time to hang out with everyone! If you have a business or anything you would care to donate to the Chinese auction please let Sharon or Kim know during practice this week. We are assembling baskets this weekend for the beef and beer.
• Tournament worker sheet will be distributed this week. Please return on time so that we can assign workers for the tournament. We will not need everyone so some people may work our home match instead on 1/28. If you prefer to do this please note it on the sheet. Also if you have any special requirements, such as having a small child with you, or needing to sit please note on the sheet. I will assign the sheets on a first come, first served basis and accommodate special requests wherever possible.
• Soda/Water donation sheet is available this week. If you would like to donate a 12 pack of soda, or a case of water, please sign up at practice
• Jackets available for order. These are the jackets we gave out last year you may purchase. $65 adult/$60 Youth (this is our cost, we are not making money on these). Place Orders by January 18th with payment to Sharon or Kim.
• Clearview Tournament is Saturday, January 14th – bantam novice and midget novice divisions for first year bantam and midget wrestlers. Clearview runs a first class tournament and we encourage you to attend. This tournament also awards team trophies which we won last year.
• With this new schedule, Sharon and/or Kim and/or Scott will be at least at part of each practice to hand out paperwork, take money and forms, etc. It will likely be the last half of the first practice and the second part of the second practice on the respective nights. Please be sure to come in the hall during practice for this information each week. We have a very busy January!
